And sorting the photos beforehand doesn't work because I can't preview the watermark on the images and would be guessing where it would look best. Most programs want to put the watermark in the exact same place on every photo which often looks terrible. Then remember the watermark's placement but wait for a final batch process to export the files with the watermarks in the correct places on each one.

I need to import a transparent graphic PNG watermark file, stick a shadow behind it, and then position it in one of the corners. I've tried basically every program that is made for, or could be used for, watermarking. I'm not interested in discussing the pros and cons of watermarking itself in this thread.
